Whole-Classroom Interactive Resource Development
Overview
The Whole-Classroom Interactive Resource Development (WIRED) program is a 2-year, $640,000 grant funded by the Colorado Department of Education’s Power Results Grant Program. The grant provides technology tools, training, and professional development for teachers of grades 3-8, as well as approximately $20,000 per school in new technologies.
Program Goals
- Improve student achievement.
- Engage and motivate students.
- Emphasize how new technologies can assist collaborative activities between teachers and students.
- Help districts achieve their own technology and information literacy goals for all students.
- Evaluate and disseminate material from this project so it may be successfully replicated to others.

- Over 250 teacher-days of SMART Board and Digital Lab training sessions
- 2-day McRel technology workshop for 80 teachers and administrators
- 4-day Technology in Education conference for 15 teachers
- Hundreds of hours of in-class, in-person coaching
